Well this weekend was wonderful. I was able to spend time with two good friends and one (the Matchmaker herself) I hadn’t seen since April. I wasn’t even showing at then. It is hard to imagine not having a Feisty bump at this point. Seems like it’s been here forever. The low point to the weekend and today as well is that [...]

The next few days are packed out! So if you don’t hear from me over the weekend don’t expect it to be from the baby making an appearance–I am starting to assure myself it isn’t coming till after the 10th or maybe the 15th (as that is the full moon afterall). Well, at least I don’t [...]

Baby is heading toward the exit sign. The midwife confirmed my suspicion that the baby had dropped considerably and now it’s head is quite engaged–to the point it isn’t going to budge. When she measured my belly it also confirmed “the drop” as I it had gone down from measuring 37 weeks last week to 35! That [...]

First of all we haven’t had the baby yet.
Yesterday we had to fill in the “name” and “birth date” of our baby in order to purchase tickets to fly to Ohio this December. That was interesting. From that experience I figured out that Andrew is thinking we are having a boy. Usually when I [...]

Well I had a dream last night. I am starting to really wonder if my early on “girl” prediction is right. Of late the dreams have been that I am carrying a male child. WE SHALL SEE! Oh last night more braxton hicks and some dull back pain. What is weird is that they seem [...]

We are 37 weeks tomorrow. Baby is officially causing pain with it’s kicks! I love you anyway darling baby! Today I also had 2 uncomfortable contractions. Oh, and for the good news of the week we found out baby is NOT posterior anymore. In fact it is in the same position of the midwives baby [...]

We visited Andrew’s family Saturday night and took some pictures out in their field of sunflowers. They are only gorgeous for about a week’s span. Andrew and I have a tradition of getting pictures of us in the sunflowers.
We have about 4 weeks till the due date! Grandpa Blackwood at church gives me a count down every time I see [...]

This is a fascinating video on healthy diet. This website is very enlightening also. I always wondered why so many traditional diets contained whole foods that weren’t all “low fat”. Often the higher fat was seen as a nutritional bonus. Well how strange is it to find out how important good fats-even from animal sources are for [...]

Look who’s nesting…
I am not even 40 weeks folks…this is SAD.
I made it to the thrift shop today and headed out with 2 bags of clothes for Andrew and Baby for 8 dollars. Well they may or may not be for Baby. Depending on if this baby has a liking for blue or pink. Minor details. I did err on the [...]

My parents took this picture. It underscores the fact that I am a believer in couch therapy. Simply laying down for 20 minutes will do amazing things both for one’s perspective and aching back. Try it I promise! Just think what 2 hours a day would do! Wonders I am sure. In other news this baby continues to kick it’s [...]

We are due NEXT month?! :Insert: shocked face. Putting it that way makes me realize time really is flying. We have anywhere from about three to eight weeks till the awaited appearance. Quite the span! (I just can hardly wait to find out if this Feisty is a boy or girl! Apparently the stats say about 5% of Americans [...]
