Cracks me up! I am typing with one hand because I can’t bear to tear my hand from the spot it is kicking and squirming at. Gotta love all the action! What I think is weird is that it is easier to feel the baby with my hand then it is to feel baby kick me internally. What’s up with that?! Is that normal?
Have I mentioned pregnancy is awesome?! I am so blessed!
Here’s a quote I read today from Andrew Murray’s book Ministry at Moody:
The Holy Spirit is God’s gift. It is not what you do or what you are that will bring the fullness of the Holy Spirit. True as a condition, you will have to confess sin, and give up sin. But the more earnest and intense your desire , the more you will fail, until you see that you cannot conquer sin yourself. It is as you come to Jesus and confess that you are not strong enough to cast out sin and say, “Lord in Thy power I will live a holy life,” that you wll obtain the fullness of the Holy Spirit . You receive the Spirit by faith.
Paul says categorically in Galatians 3:14: “That we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Remember, if you are beginining to long for the filling of the Holy Spirit, you must get that filling by faith.
Faith is always a confession of helplessness. Faith, if it means anything, means this: “Lord, I cannot make myself worthy, but I can trust in Thy love. Thou canst and will give me the Holy Spirit.” You need to say this without doubt. You need this kind of faith, not once for all, but every morning.
Hi Jessica,
I don’t know if you remember me. You found my xanga back a long time ago when I was mrsbirkel but after I deleted my xanga we sort of fell out of touch…but I still read your blog since I liked all your quotes and stuff so much. I’ve really enjoyed reading about your wedding and your pregnancy! And the reason I felt compelled to write was because Tim and I just found out that *we* are pregnant! We’re due in January.
Anyway, don’t know if you remember me or not, but either way, I enjoy your blog alot. :)
grace and peace,
Alissa
Awww! Congratulations! That is exciting. The months really do go fast. At least that is what I am finding. I do remember meeting you on xanga a while back.
